The Garden hopes the donation of these colorful orchids will bring beauty, comfort and a touch of the Garden to patients, families and children served by these vital institutions.
Orchid Fever drew in 100,000 guests from March 15 to May 11. The exhibit was made possible because of the Garden’s new The RAF Exhibit Gallery. The experience created a desert oasis for guests as they were surrounded by swaths of orange, red, yellow, pink and purple, paired gorgeously with a Sonoran Desert plant palette.
“We are thrilled to share the joy and serenity these orchids brought to our guests with members of the community who will benefit most from their beauty and symbolism,” said Elaine McGinn, The Garden’s Chief Experience Officer.
“From a Garden bloom to a hospital room, these orchids have brought joy to so many,” remarked Debra Stevens, senior vice president for HonorHealth Foundation. “We are grateful for this beautiful and meaningful donation that will touch the hearts of so many HonorHealth patients.”
