Some ideas for using this on a slope.

Hi all. We have cleared an area on a slope (30 deg approx) and discovered some old steps. A sycamore was cut down 18 months ago and we left it in a pile near these hidden steps. Anyway, we have cleared the large timber now and have all this old soft wood and sticks left over that I would rather use than burn. Any ideas on how I can incorporate this material into this dryish, north facing but shaded slope area? Should I just bury it? Thanks An old out of practice permie. 😊
